Bai Tushum Bank was an official partner and sponsor of the Second festival of education in Bishkek

The Second festival of education took place in Bishkek from April 26 to 27, which for the second time was organized by the “Roza Otunbayeva Initiative” International Public Foundation (IPF) in cooperation with the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov, Bishkek city administration, and Ministry of Education of the KR. “Bai-Tushum” Bank was an official partner and allocated 5000 U.S. dollars for the organization of a two-day event.

Festival of education is a two-day event with interactive sites/classes with a focus on science, technology and dissemination of traditional ecological knowledge. The first festival of education took place on May 18-19, 2013 and received a lot of positive reviews, showing that is was a required and up-to-date event. The purpose of the festival is to draw attention of school students and prospective university students to the engineering sciences and to selection of the future profession.

The festival of education provides a unique opportunity to acquaint the society with a wide range of educational services and training products for school-age children – said Gulnara Shamshieva, General Manager of “Bai-Tushum” Bank.

The first day of the festival took place at the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov, where more than 100 diverse educational activities were carried out. Children of 7 years and upwards were provided an extensive program for the improvement of environmental literacy. Participants were able to see interesting scientific shows and experiments, including experiments in physics, chemistry, computer science, energy, and mechanics. All day the activists from different universities of the capital explained the future students and their parents the opportunities and prospects of studying in their universities, told about the admission rules, studies and interesting student life.

On the second day, April 27, the festival was held simultaneously at the Old Square, “Oak Park” gallery, the State Historical Museum and “Seitek” National Center for Children and Youth. Everyone could attend four exhibition-fairs: exhibition-fair of educational services, “City of Masters”, “Book stall”, “Flower Fair”, master classes on aeromodelling and sand art presentation, as well as take part in contest “Father, mother and I – technical family” and a show of bubbles.

The festival was accompanied by a variety of flash mobs, dance battles, holiday concerts and theatrical performances, circus performances, sports and intellectual games. According to organizers, this day the Festival was attended by more than ten thousand people.
