The Company’s client Uulkan Rakhmatova works as a nurse in the polyclinic in Pokrovka village, Manas Raion. She is also involved in livestock production and sale of food. Her husband works as an accountant in the Community Cultural Center. She has three children, two sons and a daughter. Her daughter has grown up, got married and separated from her parents, while her husband and her other children help her in her business.

Uulkan has been cooperating with the Company since 2009. Her most recent loan was obtained at a discounted rate within the KIVA project, which is focused by the Company towards supporting the women-entrepreneurs in rural areas. She bought 10 sheep to expand her farm and to raise the income for her household. For the next year she has plans to repair her house, for which substantial funds will be required.

Marlis, Uulkan’s youngest son decided to follow his mother, and, once graduated from school, he plans to enter the Medical Academy. Uulkan supports her son in this decision and plans to expand the business to be able to earn enough to pay for good education of her son. Taking into account the fact that the children will marry soon, she needs to start saving money today. Therefore Uulkan plans to open her own grocery store and to expand her household farming.

Uulkan is very punctual, neat and goodnatured person. If anyone needs her assistance, she is always ready to provide it, because that’s her nature and she cannot refuse help. She would like to have more time to be able to spend it for doing embroidery which she enjoys a lot.
