Taalaibek Gaipberdiev was born and grew up in a family of journalists. Even as a child he dreamed of opening his own puppet theater, so soon after graduating from high school Taalaibek together with his friends started a theater workshop in the district Culture Center. At that time Taalaibek decided that he would become an actor. After a while he entered the Tashkent Theatrical Institute, Acting Faculty. From the very childhood Taalaibek took a great interest in sewing clothes, while in the institute he began to sew for himself, and then he realized that he could make money this way and began to sew clothes for sports clubs.

After graduation, Taalaibek returned home to Osh city, and began to work in the Puppet theater. In 1994, Taalaibek decided to move to Bishkek and opened his own mini-shop for sewing children’s cloths. But he always wanted to create stage and carnival costumes, to make a “fairy tale” with his hands. However, he understood that in order to make beautiful and good-quality costumes he needed quality materials and exclusive accessories. For the purchase of such materials sufficient funds were required. So, in 2002 Taalaibek decided to obtain his first loan from Bai-Tushum and Partners to realize his creative potential.

Today Taalaibek is a successful entrepreneur, who sells his stage and carnival costumes, not only in Kyrgyzstan but also has regular wholesale buyers in Russia and Kazakhstan. His customers are attracted by a wide choice, exclusive models and good quality of  costumes.

Taalaibek Gaipberdiev employs 30 people: they are fitters, pressers, seamstresses, mask creation experts and designers, each of them participating in the costume creation process from the idea to its full implementation.

His staff, having a regular job, is confident in their stable future. Taalaibek is not going to stop, he plans to build a small factory for sewing stage and carnival costumes with a
spacious showroom.
